You can even attach equipments like amplifiers and pickups on your electric guitar in order to get a better sound of the strings.
With the help of the electric guitar you can even move on to learning genres of music like the blues and alternative rock music.

You will just have to probably pay a small amount of money and enroll, but once you do that, you will have access to a lot of videos and tutorials that will teach you how to play the electric guitar in a very comprehensive manner. If you do not prefer learning it from the web, then you can always go in for purchasing electric guitar lesson DVDs.
There are many great ones that you will find in any DVD store, and have all the tutorials and tricks to learning how to master the art of playing the electric guitar.
